What People Are Saying

“I was blown away by how intense, raw, and real the production was. I was laughing, crying, and getting chill bumps. When art can evoke all of those emotions in me, I know that it is powerful. I am so happy that I got to experience this!”

— Lauren, Jonesboro AR

“The direction, the choreography, the cast themselves - the intimacy of the venue. In the past fifteen years, I’ve seen many productions of Spring Awakening, because it’s my favorite show and I don’t mind traveling to see it. This cast is beyond talented and I am so grateful that I was able to see this production twice.”

— Cyndi, Memphis TN

“Amazing shows and amazing talent!”

— Adam, Paragould AR

“This is a company of incredibly talented and hard working individuals that are extremely passionate about what they do. I’m being 100% honest when I say that I would see a Center Stage show over a Broadway or Broadway tour show any day. The intimacy you get with these performances isn’t something you can get anywhere else.

They perform shows with hard hitting, important, oftentimes taboo messages, and they put their all into it every time. I’ve never left any of their shows with a dry eye.

The things Center Stage brings to this community are some of the most special things in the world: love. Acceptance. Family, even if you didn’t know them beforehand.

To be able to continue making the art you love despite adversity is an act of courage not everyone is capable of, and I’m so thankful for the individuals in this company and the things they do for the community.”

— Serena, Jonesboro AR

“Theatre is a form of knowledge; it should and can be a means of transforming society. Theatre can help us build our future, rather than just waiting for it”

— Augusto Boal

  • Bryan Adam Roberts is a native of Gosnell, Arkansas. He has directed 3 shows with CSP and hopes to continue to bring more powerful productions to the stage in the future. “Directing for me has always been about the storytelling. I have always believed that if you are not trying to open people’s hearts and minds with shows, we as artist are not doing our due diligence. We have to create compelling and heartrending art. We should be a voice for the voiceless and give opportunities to those that never get them. I’m a firm believer in having productions be as diverse and inclusive as possible. We must set a precipice of greatness. We have to be the change we want in the arts as well as the world.”
